It is the crown jewel of Sri Lanka's southern coast. Mirissa has a lot more to offer than you may think, from whale viewing to surfing. Parrot Rock Mirissa
This little rock island is located on the eastern end of Mirissa beach. You must go through the water for about 50 feet before reaching the summit, where there are panoramic views all around.

It's a coconut-tree-covered mountaintop. The sunset views from here are truly breathtaking. If you miss the sunset, arrive early in the morning to avoid crowds.
The coastline near Mirissa serves as a haven for sea turtles to visit and deposit eggs. Turtle hatcheries may be found at Polhena, Koggala, and Habaraduwa.
