Galle Face Green

This lengthy strip of lush grass along the coastline, originally created by the Dutch for cannon shooting, gives relaxation and delightful nighttime walks.

The National Museum

This polished wall is adorned with old visitor inscriptions and poetry dating back to the 8th century, many of which praise the paintings and the fortress.

The Dutch Museum

This 17th century home, which was originally the residence of the Dutch governor, displays Dutch colonial relics such as furniture, pottery, coinage, and artillery.

Jami-Ul-Alfar Mosque

This red and white striped edifice, known as the Red Mosque, was built in the nineteenth century and houses Sri Lanka's biggest assembly of prayer.

Gangaramaya Temple

This temple complex, Colombo's oldest, houses a surprising amount of Buddha sculptures, paintings, and carvings, as well as the Simamalaka Shrine.

Sri Kailawasanathan Temple

This Hindu temple's beautiful carvings, murals, and architecture make it a sight to see. It is Colombo's oldest Hindu temple.
